Adviser to the head of the Presidential Office Zelensky called peace talks with Moscow ’’a defeat for Kiev’’ || Спецвыпуск 14.08.2022
This is a special program from the ANNA NEWS. I am Constantine Reztsov, and today’s special is about the prospects for the negotiation process between Russia and Ukraine, as well as about the military exercises of China and other countries in the Asia-Pacific region. On 13th of August, an adviser to the head of Zelensky’s office, Mihail Podolyak, stated that the Ukrainian authorities currently have no motives to resume the peace talks with Russia. Thus he commented on the statement of Timothy Ash, the UK’s expert on Ukraine, who believes that the peace talks will start at the fall of 2022. The Ukrainian official believes that the negotiations on any terms in the current situation will mean an unconditional victory for Moscow. "It will be a recorded defeat of Ukraine, a recorded defeat of Europe and democratic values" - Podolyak explained. Mihail Podolyak, who prefers to exaggerate the current events, insists that the negotiation process between Kiev and Moscow will only lead to a civilizational catastrophe, after which there will be a "fall of the entire global security system." After the start of the Special Military Operation, both Russia and Ukraine had several rounds of failed contact group negotiations. The representatives of the parties chose Belarus as the meeting ground. The last meeting was in Istanbul on 29th of March, at the level of delegations. After that meeting - the negotiation process was stopped by the initiative of Ukraine. Last week, the 1st Deputy Representative of Russia to the UN, Dmitry Polyansky, stated that Kiev doesn’t show any serious intentions to take a responsible approach to the negotiation process with Moscow. The diplomat explained that Moscow is certain that Ukraine has some demands that they can’t put on the table during serious negotiations. Given these circumstanses, both Russia and Ukraine are still far away from negotiations. Meanwhile, the Chinese fighters and bombers will fly to Thailand today, for the joint military training "Falcon Strike 2022" with the Thai Air Force. The military training will take place at the Royal Thai Air Force Base ’Udorn’. It is located near the border with Laos. The air support, the ground strikes, and the operational deployment of troops will be trained during the event - the Chinese Ministry of Defense stated. The early warning aircraft from both countries will be used as well. The USA and their allies, spooked by the increased military, economic and political activity of China in the Asia-Pacific region, as well as the Chinese military training in the Taiwan Strait, are currently conducting huge military exercises in Indonesia, code named "Super Garuda Shield". New countries are participating in these trainings in 2022. Back in June, the US Secretary of Defense, Lloyd Austin, visited Thailand as part of an effort to enhance the so-called "unprecedented network of alliances and partnerships" in the region. The ANNA NEWS is following the events, stay tuned.
