An attempted coup in Sudan was stopped
1 Sudan A coup d’etat near the capital of Sudan, Khartoum, was stopped. "On 21st of September the army was able to prevent the coup" - a military representative stated on the state-run TV. A large number of military equipment was present on the streets of Khartoum. The security forces blocked the main bridge connecting Khartoum with the city of Omdurman, on the other side of the Nile river. No detailed information was provided about the conspirators. They reportedly tried to take control of the state-run mass media premises, but they failed. A senior military official stated that a number of officers were "involved in the assassination attempt", but they were "immediately stopped". 2 Yemen Over the past few days, the ’Ansar Allah’ rebel movement started new offensive operations in the provinces of Beida and Shabwa. They began to retreat and surrender one settlement after another, together with the regional center of Beikhan. At the moment, the rebels continue their offensive and move towards the Marib-Atak road. 3 Donbass Tensions on the contact line in Donbass are escalating. The shelling of settlements of the DPR and LPR continues. Today Ukrainian troops launched a mortar attack on the village of Yasinovataya - the DPR office in the Joint Center for the Control and Coordination of the Ceasefire reported. “In total, 15 mortar shells were fired at the settlement. The fire was conducted from the Novoselovka settlement, controlled by Kiev. As a result of the shelling, hits are recorded on the territory of the school No. 69. A gas pipeline was damaged.
