The governor of the Kaluga region, Vladislav Shapsha, stated that on 7th of October an explosion took place at the Shaikovka military airfield, near the regional center. "A UAV that presumably came from the border has crashed" - he stated on his Telegram channel. He clarified that no-one was injured in the attack. The UAV was shot down during the approach to the military airfield. The infrastructure of the airfield wasn’t seriously damaged. An investigation team has arrived at the scene of the incident to investigate the circumstances of the incident. Vladislav Shapsha noted that the explosion took place at the Shaikovka airfield, 270 km from Moscow. A strong explosion took place in the ’Al-Sadiqiya’ mosque, related with the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Afghanistan.
