1 Israel - the Gaza Strip The Palestinian movement Hamas announced the start of a new wave of rocket attacks on the Israeli cities and army bases in response to the Israeli strikes. Earlier the Palestinian radicals from the Gaza Strip fired rockets at the south of Israel. The Gaza Strip accused the IDF of using phosphorus munitions during the shelling. The IDF press office reported that 54 Israeli fighter jets hit 35 military targets, and attacked 15 km of tunnels in the north of the Gaza Strip on Monday, as part of the massive campaign to destroy the underground infrastructure of the Hamas movement in the enclave. He added that "besides the internal security measures, Armenia will activate the procedures in accordance with the CSTO treaty, and the Armenian-Russian strategic system". He specified that negotiations with Azerbaijan to resolve the situation on the border with Armenia will continue on 19th of May. 5 Azerbaijan During a telephone conversation with the President of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev described the situation on the border with Armenia as ’stable’. "Currently, the process of specifying the border is underway. Armenia shows a chaotic reaction to the process. The appeal from Armenia on this matter to the Collective Security Treaty Organization is an attempt to internationalize the process. It is completely baseless. There were no clashes at the border.
