The Sky News Arabia reported that the US-led international anti-terrorist coalition forces carried out an amphibious operation in the Syrian province of Deir ez-Zor. It was reported that as a result of the operation, two leaders of the ISIS were detained. The details of the operation weren’t disclosed. The representative of the Russian President for the Syrian settlement, Alexander Lavrentyev, stated that the next session of the Syrian Constitutional Committee will be held in late August or early September in Geneva. By December 31st, 2021, there will be no US forces in Iraq that participate in the combat mission". Washington intends to continue to support the Iraqi security forces, and the Kurdish groups, in order to ’’build capacity to counter the future threats." The Press Secretary of the Russian President, Dmitry Peskov, stated that Russia will monitor the situation after the American decision to end the combat mission in Iraq. He explained that the situation in Iraq and Afghanistan is different. Dmitry Peskov added that ’’Apparently, a considerable number of so-called military advisers will remain in Iraq. They will continue to work in Iraq". He added that Moscow doesn’t want "one more territory to be added to the regional instability". The TOLOnews TV reported with a reference to a police spokesman that 4 Afghan servicemen were killed in clashes with the Taliban in the Kapisa province. 2 servicemen were injured. As a result of the clashes, 25 Taliban terrorists were killed. The Al-Sumaria TV reported that a camp of the Iraqi Shia militia group "Al-Hashd Al-Shaabi", located near the city of Najaf, was under attack. As a result - at least 3 people were injured. A representative of the Shia militia group stated that there were several explosions, after which a violent fire broke out.
