The Russian Armed Forces are advancing on Lisichansk
1 Russia Vladimir Putin held a telephone negotiation with the Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Modi. The plans of the development of two-sided relationships were discussed. Both leaders confirmed their plans to enhance the highly valuable strategic partnership. The trade volume went up significantly. Vladimir Putin underlined that Russia remains a reliable supplier of grain, fertilizers, and energy. He pointed at the systemic errors of a number of countries that violate the free trade. It applies to the food and energy resources. Illegitimate sanctions only escalate the situation. He also spoke about the key aspects of the special military operation in Donbass. Putin underlined the dangerous nature of the policy of Ukraine and their Western patrons, aimed at the escalation of the crisis, and disruption of the diplomatic process. 2 Germany The German government has launched the process of ratifying the document on the accession of Sweden and Finland to the NATO. "The ministers want to complete the procedure quickly" - the cabinet spokesman Steffen Hebestreit reported. After the German government, the document must be approved by the parliament. Earlier, Sweden, Finland and Turkey signed an agreement that removes all the Turkish claims. The head of the Finnish Foreign Ministry, Pekka Haavisto, explained that Finland won’t be able to join the NATO until the autumn of 2022. The approval of the parliaments of 30 countries is required for the entry. Some of them do not work in summer. 3 Russia The bus service between Crimea, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions was resumed. The bus traffic from Simferopol goes to 3 cities - to Kherson, Melitopol and Berdyansk. The first few buses departed on the morning of 1st of July, and have arrived at their destination points by now. The transportation will be carried out daily, morning and afternoon. In the future it is planned to increase the number of bus routes. On 1st of July, the trains were supposed to start moving between the regions as well, but the opening of the rail service had to be postponed. It will resume as soon as the passengers can be guaranteed a complete safety. 4 Bulgaria The Russian ambassador to Bulgaria, Eleonora Mitrofanova, is ready to raise the issue of closing the embassy in Sofia with the Russian leadership, since the Bulgarian Foreign Ministry ignored the appeal regarding the mass expulsion of the diplomats. According to her, the closure of the Russian embassy in Bulgaria will surely entail the closure of the Bulgarian diplomatic mission in Moscow. The diplomat laid the responsibility for those consequences on the government of Bulgaria and the acting Prime Minister, Kiril Petkov. On 28th of June, Bulgaria declared 70 Russian diplomats and representatives of the technical staff of the Russian Embassy to be persona non grata. They will be expelled from the country with their family members. About 200 people must leave the country by 3rd of July. 5 The LPR The Russian forces are advancing on the town of Lisichansk. By now they are near the town - Igor Konashenkov reported and added that the Ukrainian forces suffer heavy losses in that area. Over the past 24 hours, 120 Ukrainian servicemen were killed in Verkhnekamenka, and 70 in Verkhnekamenskoe. The Russian Ministry of Defense reported that the Ukrainian failures on the battlefield are provoking an increase in desertion and avoidance of participation in the hostilities. An unorganized retreat of some Ukrainian units from Lisichansk was recently noticed. 6 Russia The head of Crimea, Sergei Aksyonov, stated that the reason of the smoke near the Crimean bridge was the police training. "It just so happened that at the same time, an accident took place on the bridge. There is no danger for the bridge, for the people, or for Crimea" - he reported on his Telegram channel.
