A command post and a bunch of Ukrainian infantry and armor near the village of Aleksandrovka were hit. Up to 80 Ukrainian nationalists plus 23 units of armored vehicles and armor were destroyed. A high-precision air-to-air missile shot down a Ukrainian UAV. 2 Donbass The DPR forces took control of the Mariupol TV center - they plan to start broadcasting the Russian and their own TV channels - the People’s Militia of the DPR reported on their Telegram channel. According to him, the local infrastructure will spread the signal to the south of the DPR, and even the Zaporozhye region. The Donetsk authorities are planning to organize digital broadcasting. The experts are currently evaluating the technical possibilities - the RIA NEWS reported. 3 Russia - The EU Vladimir Putin held a telephone conversation with the head of the European Council, Charles Michel - the Kremlin press service reported. The situation in Ukraine, the humanitarian problems in Mariupol, and the situation in Nagorno-Karabakh were discussed. Putin said that the Ukrainian authorities don’t allow the people, blocked at the ’Azovstal’ factory, to leave the area. He noted that after the liberation of Mariupol, he ordered to cancel the assault on the industrial zone. "The Ukrainian servicemen, militants of the national battalions, and foreign mercenaries, who lay down their weapons, are guaranteed life, decent treatment in accordance with the international law, and a medical care" - the message reported. Putin told to Michel about the irresponsible statements by the EU representatives regarding the need to resolve the situation in Ukraine by military force, as well as ignoring the numerous war crimes of the Ukrainian forces. Putin pointed out that the possibility of personal negotiations depends only on the results of the on-going contacts between Moscow and Kiev, during which "Ukraine is showing inconsistency, and isn’t ready to seek a mutually acceptable solution" - end of quote. 4 Russia After the negotiations with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan, Mukhtar Tleuberdi, the Russian foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov stated that Russia won’t tolerate any ultimatums from Ukraine. He noted that Moscow haven’t received any responses to the proposals, sent to Kiev. ’’The negotiations have stopped. 5 days ago, we sent a proposal to the Ukrainian negotiators, which was formulated while taking into the account the comments that we received from them at that moment. The proposal remains unanswered" - he explained and added that when Vladimir Zelensky was asked about his attitude to the Russian initiatives - he replied that Kiev didn’t receive anything. "It is not up to me to judge how much he controls the situation. But it was typical of what is being called ’negotiations’ in these days" - Sergey Lavrov said and added that Russia isn’t discussing the security guarantees for Ukraine with any other state - the RIA NEWS reported. 5 Russia The Russian Deputy Commander of the Central Military District, Major-General Rustam Minnekaev, stated that the Russian forces have begun the 2nd stage of the special operation, aimed to achieve a full control over Donbass. "The 2nd phase of the special operation in Ukraine has started 2 days ago. One of the goal of the Russian forces is to establish a full control over the Donbass region, and south of Ukraine" - he explained and added that the control over the Donbass region will allow the Russian forces to create a land corridor to Crimea. “The control over the south of Ukraine is an another way out to Transnistria. Some oppression of the Russian-speaking population took place in that region. Apparently, we are now at a war with the whole world, as it was during the Great Patriotic War. Back then, all of Europe, the whole world, was against us. Now the same thing is happening again - they never liked Russia" - he explained. 6 Ukraine The head of the Ukrainian presidential office, Andrey Yermak, stated that Kiev, supposedly, has ruined the plans of Moscow. According to him - Ukraine has a plan "B" for the protection. “Russia has announced the plan for the 2nd phase of the war. They think that they will be able to capture the Donbass region and south of Ukraine, while counting on the economic pressure on our state. We have our own plans for protection of Ukraine” - he said, and noted the importance of the UK’s policy regarding the NATO capacity building for Kiev. Andrey Yermak called the statements of the British Prime Minister, Boris Johnson, after the video-talks between the leaders of the NATO countries to be ’’important words’’. “According to him, the long-term goal of the NATO should be the fortification of Ukraine to the point where a new Russian invasion becomes impossible. It was a serious statement from our ally. It was underlined by the President Vladimir Zelensky when he spoke about the need for more weapons to confront Russia” - end of quote.
