1 The DPR At least 6 people were killed during the Ukrainian attack on the town of Novaya Kakhovka, in the Kherson region - the head of the military-civilian administration of the Kakhovka district, Vladimir Leontyev, reported. It was specified that the Ukrainian strike on 11th of July detonated the local fertilizer depot. Hundreds of houses and dozens of infrastructure facilities were damaged. The city is still burning. The first reports of an attack on the town of Novaya Kakhovka appeared on 11th of July. Ukraine used MLRS ’HIMARS’. The local authorities have connected the attack on Novaya Kakhovka with the recent statements made by the Ukrainian Minister of Defense, Aleksiy Reznikov, about the Ukrainian plans to go on the offensive on the territories, liberated by Russia. Vladimir Leontiev didn’t rule out that the death toll could be higher. Many people remain under rubble or trapped in damaged houses. There were 6 attacks in total. Half of the missiles were intercepted by Russian air defense forces. The Ukrainian radicals were hitting the center of the town. Some apartment buildings were damaged beyond repair. The local hospital, shops, church, and food warehouses were badly damaged. The destroyed fertilizer depots had some saltpeter inside. The damage is colossal. 2 Ukraine The Ukrainian forces used a kamikaze drone against the residential buildings in the town of Energodar in the Zaporojskii region. The information about the victims is being specified. The Ukrainian forces dropped a couple of 120mm bombs on a building near the Zaporozhye Nucler Power Plant. The roof and windows were damaged. There were no casualties. A member of the main council of the military-civilian administration of the region, Vladimir Rogov, reported that recently the Ukrainian forces suffered losses when they tried to advance into the territory of the Zaporozhye region. The Ukrainian forces shelled the town of Stakhanov - they used US-made MLRS HIMARS. 2 people died, 2 were injured. The windows of 11 residential buildings were damaged. A local kindergarten and the "Stakhanovskaya specialized school number 10" were damaged. 3 Kazakhstan The presidents Vladimir Putin and Kassym-Jomart Tokayev spoke about the relations of Russia and Kazakhstan. They also spoke about the cooperation within the framework of the agreements that were reached during the important Russian-Kazakhstani negotiations that took place in June, in the city of St. Petersburg. The presidents confirmed their plans to further enhance the strategic partnership, and the implementation of the specific projects in the trade, economic, and energy matters. 4 The DPR The DPR stated that Ukraine has no ability to counter-attack in the Donetsk direction. More than 7,000 DPR citizens were cut off the grid due to the Ukrainian attacks. 5 Syria On 12th of July the Syrian news agency "SANA" reported that the locals in north of Syria stopped a US military convoy that was trying to enter the city of Qamishli. According to the SANA - the American convoy was stopped at the checkpoint of the Syrian army by the inhabitants of the village of Al-Salihiya. They started throwing stones at the US military vehicles and demand the US servicemen to leave the area. 6 Sri Lanka The Sri Lankan newspaper "Daily Mirror" reported on 12th of July that the president of Sri Lanka, Gotabaya Rajapaksa, signed his own resignation. The document was dated at 13th of July. "The presidential statement was signed, and handed over to a senior government official, who will pass it to the parliament speaker, Mahinda Yapa Abeywardene". He will announce the departure of Rajapaksa. Currently the president is on the island - he is being guarded by the military. Its exact location is unknown. He will probably leave the country during this week. On 9th of July, thousands of protesters went to the streets of Colombo to demand the resignation of the head of the state. They captured the residences of the president, and the Prime Minister. More than a hundred of people were injured. After that the Prime Minister of Sri Lanka, Ranil Wickramasinghe, announced that he will leave his post. Rajapaksa announced his plans to step down on 13th of July.
