An impeachment is being prepared for Biden immediately after his inauguration.
This is a special program from the ’ANNA News’. I am Constantine Reztsov. Today we will talk about the impeachment for Joe Biden that is being planned right after his inauguration. A congresswoman from Georgia, Marjorie Taylor Green, promised to publish a filing of an impeachment against Joe Biden early in his first term in the White House, thus copying the actions of Democrats who did so against the current US President, republican Donald Trump. She stated that she will speak in favor of an impeachment on 20th of January, the day after Biden’s inauguration, while adding that she is proud to act as a loudspeaker of the Republican voters that were ignored. The congresswoman stated that 75 millions of Americans are fed up with the inaction, and "it’s time to take a stand." “We can’t have a President of the USA who is willing to abuse his presidential power, and be easily bribed by the foreign governments, Chinese, or Ukrainian companies” - she added. She didn’t specify on what grounds she will try to make an impeachment. She predicts, while citing the corruption allegations of Biden and his son Hunter that preceded his 2020 election victory, that the new president will abuse presidential power. Despite the small chances of success, the impeachment threat from Marjorie Taylor Green is very similar to the efforts of Democrats during Trump’s early months of presidency. In July 2017, 2 congressmen from California and Texas filed for an impeachment. They accused Trump of obstructing the justice by firing the FBI director, James Comey. Given the Republican majority in the House of Representatives at that time, the attempt has failed. The situation could repeat itself because Congress is currently controlled by the Democrats, and it is clear that they will reject any attempt to impeach Joe Biden. A Russian Senator Alexei Pushkov believes that an impeachment of Joe Biden may have chances of success only after new congressional elections in 2022. And only if they manage to get new seats. Currently the representatives of the Republican Party don’t have a majority in the House of Representatives - they are 5 seats behind the Democrats. “If the Republicans bridge the gap - then Joe Biden might feel all the delights of an impeachment” - Alexei Pushkov concluded. Impeachments in the US history have mostly been linked to alleged crimes, committed in the line of duty. According to the US Congressional Investigation Service, the officials are rarely fired for a misconduct prior to taking the office. ANNA News is following the events. Stay tuned.
