Israel attacks a Hamas facility
1 Syria The Syrian Foreign Minister, Faisal Mikdad, stated during a meeting with the foreign ambassadors, accredited in Damascus, that Syria has fulfilled all of the obligations by joining to the Chemical Weapons Convention, and by not using the chemical weapons ever since. “Despite all of it, the USA and their allies continue to use the OPCW as a tool to achieve their aggressive goals against Damascus” - the minister explained. While speaking about the report of the OPCW Investigation and Identification Team, the Minister stated that "the document includes false and fabricated conclusions, based on the disinformation, provided by the activists of the non-governmental organization ’White Helmets’ associated with the terrorists". The report claims that the Syrian Air Force, allegedly, dropped a chlorine bomb in February 2018, on the terrorist-held city of Saraqib. 2 Israel - The Gaza Strip The IDF reported on Twitter that in response to a missile, launched from the Gaza Strip, the IDF attacked several military facilities of the radical Palestinian movement ’Hamas’. It was reported that fighters and helicopters of the IDF "attacked a weapons manufacturing facility, a tunnel for smuggling the weapons, and a military outpost". Earlier it was reported that the Palestinian radicals launched one missile from the Gaza Strip at Israel. It triggered the air raid sirens in and around the city of Sderot. 3 Afghanistan The ’Tolo News’ TV reported that a roadside bomb exploded in the Afghan province of Kandahar on Friday night. The explosion killed at least 4 civilians. It was reported that the victims were members of one family. No other details were reported. 4 Iran ’’Iran received the first batch of uranium, enriched up to 60%’’ - the chairman of the Iranian Mejlis, Mohammad Bagher Galibaf, reported on Twitter. The Iranian Vice President and the head of the Iranian Atomic Energy Organization, Ali Akbar Salehi, stated that Iran produced 9 grams of uranium enriched to 60% - the ’ISNA’ news agency quoted his words. He added that after the recent sabotage, the Natanz nuclear facility continues to operate as usual. 5 The EU - Donbass The ’TASS’ news agency reported that EU foreign ministers will discuss the escalation of the situation in Donbass during a videoconference on 19th of April. Earlier the DPR office in the Joint Center for the Control and Coordination of the Ceasefire reported that on Friday morning, the Ukrainian troops fired on the north of the city of Donetsk, and on the village of Staromikhaylovka. The spokesman for the DPR delegation in the contact group, Vladislav Moskovsky, stated that the DPR initiated an emergency meeting of the security subgroup of the contact group to resolve the situation in Donbass after the death of a civilian as a result of the shelling. 6 Germany - Russia The German Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Adebar stated at a briefing that the German Foreign Ministry is calling on Russia to explain via the OSCE the alleged movement of the Russian troops near the border with Ukraine. "This is the meaning of the OSCE mechanism for building the confidence and security.
