Israel launched a missile attack on Syria
The IDF attacked radars and anti-aircraft installations in Syria on Wednesday night in a response to a missile launch at Israel - the IDF press service reported. The air-raid sirens went off in the city of Umm al-Fahm and in the northern parts of the West Bank in the Palestinian autonomy. The anti-aircraft missile wasn’t intercepted - it exploded on it’s own in the air. The SANA reported that as a result of the strikes, 1 Syrian soldier was killed and 5 were injured. The Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman, Maria Zakharova, stated that the Israeli airstrikes in Syria are a gross violation of the Syrian sovereignty, and those airstrikes can provoke a serious escalation. “The on-going Israeli airstrikes against the targets in Syria cause a deep concern. They are a gross violation of the sovereignty of Syria, and are capable of provoking a sharp escalation of the situation. Such actions create big risks for the international civil air traffic. The on-going attacks have a negative impact on the effectiveness of the efforts, taken by the Syrians and their allies, to eliminate the terrorists in Syria" - Maria Zakharova concluded. "Over the week, Ukraine sent 30 units of military equipment to the contact line" - the official representative of the People’s Militia of the LPR, Ivan Filiponenko, told to the reporters. He noted that the LPR defense department continues to receive the information about the preparation of Ukrainian troops for the active phase of hostilities. Ukraine sends weapons and military equipment to the contact line. Ivan Filiponenko stated that over the week, the Ukrainian military used electronic warfare gear to prevent the work of UAVs of the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission near 8 settlements in the zone of military operations. Not a single document was signed by the political advisers of the "Normandy format" during the latest round of negotiations that lasted for 9 hours. The Ukrainian representatives refused to comply with the Minsk agreements. Specifically - to conduct a dialogue with the LPR and the DPR, said Dmitry Kozak, the deputy head of the presidential administration of Russia. He mentioned that the Ukrainian delegation didn’t respond to the proposals of the DPR and LPR on the implementation of the Minsk agreements. The proposals from the LPR and the DPR were given via Germany. The head of the Ukrainian presidential administration, Andriy Yermak, who is currently heading the Ukrainian delegation at the negotiations, didn’t even quote the provisions of the Minsk agreements in the draft final document. The joint Russian-Belarusian training "Allied Resolve - 2022" has started on 10th of February. It is the largest test of the response forces of Moscow and Minsk so far. The exclusively peaceful training will last until 20th of February. The main goal is to work out the defensive actions in case of an external aggression or a terrorist threat. There are many training tasks for the next several days - enhancement of the protection of borders, cutting off channels for the supply of weapons, and blocking of gangs. The USA plan to launch a mass-media campaign to inspire the protest mood in the Syrian society - the representatives of the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service reported. According the reports - the Joe Biden’s administration plans to keep the US military presence in Syria, and prevent the situation from stabilizing. The American intelligence services also plan to send some extremist cells in Damascus and nearby on targeted actions against the military personnel of Iran and Russia.
