1 Iraq The newspaper "Politico" reported that the USA believe that the group ’Kataib Hezbollah’ was involved in the attack on the Iraqi ’Ain al-Assad’ base, used by the US military. According to the ’Bloomberg’ - the UK intends to act via the ’Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons’ to put pressure on Russia. The UK also plans to discuss possible sanctions against Russia with the allies in Europe, including France and Germany. The USA intend to impose a second, bigger package of sanctions against Russia if Moscow doesn’t agree on certain conditions. Moscow must guarantee that it will abandon the use of chemical weapons, and allow the inspections of facilities where chemical weapons could be located. It was noted that the parties are holding consultations on the issue of new sanctions against Russia. 4 Russia The press secretary of the Russian president, Dmitry Peskov, stated that the US accusations on chemical weapons are baseless. "There is no real proof to support such claim because there can’t be any at all. Russia has long time ago destroyed all the stockpiles of chemical weapons" - Dmitry Peskov explained and added that all the programs that could somehow be associated with the production of chemical weapons were stopped in accordance with the obligations of Russia under the ’Convention on the Prohibition of the Development, Production, Stockpiling, Use of Chemical Weapons, and on Their Destruction’. 5 Donbass A representative of the DPR in the Joint Center for the Control and Coordination of the Ceasefire reported about a shelling of the town of Gorlovka. "There was a violation of the ceasefire from the Ukrainian positions at the towns of Dzerzhinsk and Gorlovka.
