1 Syria The Directorate General of Radio and Television of Syria reported that the Syrian air defenses repelled an Israeli missile attack near Damascus. It was reported that the rural areas near Damascus were under fire. There was no information on the target of the missile attack. The ’SANA’ reported that as a result of the missile attack - 1 serviceman was killed, 3 were injured. The identity of the deceased person wasn’t reported. The missile strike came from the airspace in the north of Galilee. The Syrian air defenses intercepted some of the incoming missiles. 2 Syria The deputy head of the Russian Center for the Reconciliation of the Warring Parties in Syria, Rear-Admiral Vyacheslav Sytnik, reported that on Tuesday, 3 Russian military police officers were slightly injured when the terrorists attacked the MP APC in the Idlib DMZ. The incident took place at 15:45, while "ensuring the security of the withdrawal of the Turkish observation post near the settlement of Trumba, in the south-east of the Idlib DMZ". The MP APC was attacked by an anti-tank missile system from the territory, controlled by the pro-Turkish forces. It was underlined that "the command of the Russian forces in Syria, in a cooperation with the Turkish military and Syrian security agencies, is investigating the involvement of the terrorists, operating in the DMZ, in the attack on Russian servicemen". 3 Yemen The ’Al Arabiya’ TV reported that on Wednesday 3 mortar shells hit the Aden airport when the ministers of the new Yemeni government have arrived in there. There were a lot of dead and injured people, but no exact data was reported so far. According to the preliminary information - none of the members of the Cabinet was injured. The sources of the ’Al Arabiya’ TV reported that the shells hit the arrivals hall - a lot of smoke is coming from there at the moment. The ’Sky News Arabia’ TV reported that one of the shells hit the runway. 4 Nagorno-Karabakh The Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov stated in an interview with the ’TASS’ news agency that Russia sees no provocations against the peacekeepers in Nagorno-Karabakh so far. "We are glad to see the disposition of Baku and Yerevan to fulfill their obligations and work towards the general stabilization of the situation" - Lavrov explained and added that the only noticeable violation was recorded on 13th of December, on the segment of the contact line where the Russian peacekeepers weren’t present. 5 Russia - Libya The Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov stated at a meeting with the Foreign Minister of the Government of National Accord of Libya, Muhammad Siyala, that Russia is ready to provide a maximum help to Libya for the purpose of the national reconciliation in the country. He underlined that the Libyans will have to make a historic choice in favor of ending of the civil war, in favor of the national reconciliation, and in favor of a jointly build stable state. 6 the EU - the UK The EU leaders signed a trade and cooperation agreement with the UK after the UK left the EU. The document was signed in Brussels. The signatures on behalf of the EU were put by the head of the European Council, Charles Michel, and the head of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen. The British Prime Minister Boris Johnson must now sign the agreement in London, on behalf of the UK.
