The laws of the DPR do not rule out that the death penalty for criminals can be replaced with a life-long sentence, or other punishment. Elena Shishkina specified that the death penalty could also be abolished after the DPR joins Russia, after a referendum. After that - the Criminal Code of Russia will operate on the territory of the DPR. 4 Italy - Ukraine Italy is preparing to send a new batch of military aid to Ukraine - some armored vehicles and artillery. The list remains classified for now. However, according to some Italian journalists, it is planned to send a new batch of FH-70 artillery pieces, some unspecified armored vehicles, small arms and ammo to Ukraine. In particular, the delivery could include machine guns ’Beretta MG42/59’. Italy can also donate camping tents and medical equipment. The main list of supplies will be agreed upon after the NATO summit in Madrid, scheduled from 28th to 30th of June. In addition to sending the weapons and equipment, Italy could train the Ukrainian servicemen in handling of the Western weapons. Ukraine will negotiate when it has the capacity to do so - once it will restore the position of force" - the ’France Presse’ quoted the statement of the Elysee Palace. Earlier, the Russian Foreign Minister, Sergei Lavrov, stated that Moscow doesn’t see the possibility of Ukraine being allowed to return to the negotiations with Russia - the RIA NEWS reports. 6 Moldova The Moldova’s Prosecutor General’s Office has charged the ex-president of Moldova, Igor Dodon, of embezzlement of funds during the purchase of electricity in 2008 by the state-run company ’Energocom’ - the TASS reported. The investigators believe that, as the Deputy Prime Minister, Igor Dodon facilitated the signing of the contract for the purchase of electricity. As a result, Moldova suffered damage of almost $12 millions of dollars. The ex-president of Moldova was placed under a house arrest at the end of May. He was charged with illegal enrichment, corruption, illegal financing of the party, and treason. Igor Dodon stated that the cases against him were opened for the political reasons.
