1 Turkey Military delegations from Turkey, Russia, Ukraine, and some UN representatives held negotiations in Istanbul, aimed to resolve the grain issue. On 13th of July, the head of Kherson’s military-civilian administration, Vladimir Saldo, reported that the next attempts to set fire to the wheat fields by the Ukrainian helicopters on the border with the Kherson region will be stopped. He added that the attempts to set fire to the wheat fields are vicious and inhuman. They are aimed at scaring the population of the Kherson region. "Next time such actions of the Ukrainian forces will be stopped with anti air weaponry" - end of quote. 2 The LPR During the shelling of the city of Lugansk by the Ukrainian forces from the night of 12th to 13th of July, the Ukrainian forces used a new tactic to break through the air defenses. The Ukrainian forces used MLRS "Grad" to attack the village of Verkhnetoretskoye. They fired 10 rockets. The towns of Novobakhmutovka and Dolomitnoe were under fire as well. Ukraine used 155mm artillery and mortars. They fired about 29 shells. 4 Sri Lanka The Prime Minister of Sri Lanka, Ranil Wickramasinghe, assumed the powers of the head of state after the resignation and departure of the president Gotobai Rajapaksa. He made such statement during an interview to the CNN on 12th of July. During the conversation, the journalist recalled the storming of the Capitol on January 6th, 2021, by the Donald Trump’s supporters. He added that “you don’t need to have a brilliant mind to prepare a coup’’. Botlon responded that Donald Trump doesn’t do that. "It was a chaotic movement, from one idea to an another. One plan failed - and an another appeared. As someone who helped to plan the coup d’etat, not here, but in other parts of the world, I disagree with such statement. It takes a lot of work" - John Bolton explained. 6 The DPRK On 13th of July the DPRK recognized the independence of the DPR - the head of the DPR, Denis Pushilin, reported on his Telegram channel. According to him - the political decision will contribute to the economic relations of both states, and it will help the trade matters. He expressed a hope for an active and profitable cooperation. Before this day, Abkhazia, South Ossetia, the Yemeni rebels, Nicaragua, Syria, and Nagorno-Karabakh recognized the independence of the DPR and LPR.
