1 Syria - the USA The Syrian Foreign Ministry announced that the USA and their allies are guilty of supporting a terrorist war against Syria - the ’SANA’ news agency quoted the statement. The document noted that the purpose of the terrorist war, as well as the economic terror against Syria, is to try to consolidate the American occupation of the region. It was underlined that the actions of the USA in Syria go beyond the international law, and they deserve condemnation from the international community. "Syria holds the US administration responsible for the consequences of the criminal policy, used by the USA against the Syrian people. Syria demands to compensate the heavy losses and the colossal damage, caused to the Syrians from the aggression, unleashed against Syria via the American occupation" - end of quote. The Syrian Foreign Ministry demanded the USA to stop interfering in the situation in the north-east of the country by supporting the terrorist and separatist groups, operating in that area. 2 Russia - Syria The First Russian Deputy Permanent Representative to the UN, Dmitry Polyansky, reported on his Telegram channel that on 16th of April Russia will hold an informal video-meeting of the UN Security Council via the ’Arria formula’ on the topic of protection of the developing states from the political pressure, used under the pretext of baseless accusations of using weapons of mass destruction. A special focus will be on Syria that ’’recently has been undergoing an especially sophisticated campaign from the Western states" - Polyansky explained and added that Russia is very worried about the on-going politicization of the work of the OPCW, whose reputation has been seriously damaged due to large-scale violations by its own Technical Secretariat on the Syrian chemical dossier. 3 Armenia The Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated that Yerevan wants to resume the constructive negotiations for the final solution of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. Nikol Pashinyan expressed his hope that "the OSCE Minsk Group will contribute to this process". He added that ’’the basis of the Armenian external security is the military alliance with Russia, which has been solidified by several dozen treaties. In this context, the Armenian-Russian joint groups of forces and the unified air defense systems have a practical importance for us". 4 The USA - Afghanistan The US Secretary of State, Anthony Blinken, has arrived at the NATO HQ for a meeting with the NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg. Anthony Blinken stated that the time has come for the USA and the NATO to bring their troops back home from Afghanistan. On Tuesday he stated that Joe Biden intends to completely pull the US troops from Afghanistan by 11th of September. It was noted that the withdrawal will start before 1st of May. ’The Times’ reported that the UK will pull all their troops from Afghanistan after the USA. 5 Afghanistan The ’France-Presse’ reported that the Taliban representatives won’t attend the summit on the future of Afghanistan. The summit is planned to be held in April, in Turkey. The ’France-Presse’ quotes a statement from the Taliban spokesman in Qatar. He stated that the Taliban won’t participate in any conference that makes decisions on Afghanistan until all the foreign forces have left Afghanistan. 6 The USA - Ukraine The press service of the US State Department reported that the US State Secretary Anthony Blinken and the NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg, noted the need for the continued support of Ukraine from the NATO during a meeting in Brussels. "The parties discussed the urgent need to end the Russian aggressive military construction along the borders with Ukraine and in Crimea. The US Secretary of State and the Secretary-general agreed that the NATO must continue to support Ukraine" - the statement reported. The official representative of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Maria Zakharova, stated on air of the ’Vesti FM’ radio station that the NATO "supports Kiev quite obviously".
