Ukrainian servicemen still remain at Azovstal
The city of Svetlodarsk was liberated by the DPR forces - the HQ of the DPR territorial defense reported on the ’Telegram’. The DPR and the LPR forces, supported by the Russian forces, liberate the territory from the Ukrainian nationalists and servicemen. The total number of the liberated settlements so far is 217. On 24th of May, the mayor of the town of Debaltsevo, Igor Zaharevich, reported that the Russian flag was placed on the city hall of Svetlodarsk. The city has one of the biggest thermal power plants in Europe - the "Uglegorsk thermal power plant". The LPR Defense Ministry spokesman, Andrei Marochko, reported that the LPR forces surrounded the Ukrainian forces in the city of Severodonetsk. "At the moment, the escape routes for the Ukrainian forces from the city of Severodonetsk - the city limits itself - are cut off. There are only 3 bridges that they could use to escape. One bridge was destroyed. The second bridge can’t survive and military equipment since it is in a critical condition. The third, the ’’Proletarian Bridge’’, is under our control. Anyone who tries to leave the city will be destroyed" - he explained. According to him, the LPR’s People’s Militia now control the entire territory of the LPR. The surrounded Ukrainian forces have 2 choices left. "The first is to lay down their weapons and keep their lives. The second choice will kill them all" - Andrei Marochko concluded. The DPR’s Prosecutor General’s Office reported about the completion of the investigation of the crimes of the mercenaries from the UK and Morocco. They could face the death penalty - the RIA NEWS reports. The police stated that during the investigation, the identities of the war criminals, related to the military operations of Ukraine against Donbass, were identified. Among them are two British men, Sean Pinner and Andrew Hill, and one Moroccan man, Saadoun Blagym. The DPR’s Prosecutor General’s Office has detailed data, including the testimony from the criminals during which they admit their involvement in the crimes. Some Ukrainian servicemen, who were either hidding, or were left behind during the surrender, were found in the ’’Azovstal’’ factory - the head of the DPR, Denis Pushilin, reported and added that right now it is impossible to tell for sure that there are no Ukrainian soldiers, or Ukrainian nationalists, left in the factory. "They could be hiding. Or they could be lost. Somewhere they simply lagged behind the others. Some of them have been found by now, and sent to their place of detention" - he said and clarified that the lost Ukrainians do not pose an active threat. It will be possible to tell if the ’’Azovstal’’ is indeed empty only after the DPR forces check everything, clear all traps, and remove all the rubble. On 25th of May, Vladimir Putin signed a decree that simplifies the procedure for applying for the Russian citizenship for the residents of the Zaporozhye and Kherson regions of Ukraine. The document can be found on the official website of the legal information of Russia. The corrections are related to a decree that provides a simplified procedure for the residents of the DPR and the LPR. The decision on the citizenship can’t exceed more than 3 months from the date of filing of the applications, and submission of documents. The Chisinau court placed the ex-president of Moldova, Igor Dodon, under a house arrest for 30 days. On 24th of May, he was arrested for 72 hours. He was suspected of treason and corruption - the Prosecutor General’s Office of Moldova reported. The Acting head of the Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office, Elena Kazakova, stated that after the searches, the politician himself and an another person were detained in the ex-president’s house. The ’Moldovan Socialist Party’ called the searches in the house of Igor Dodon to be "a fight against the opposition". Actions in support of the politician were held in the city of Chisinau.
