Ultimatum of the Czech Republic / Israel attacked Syria
1 Syria - Israel The Syrian air defense systems repelled a missile attack from Israel on the outskirts of Damascus - the ’SANA’ news agency reported. The missiles were launched from the Golan Heights. The Syrian Defense Ministry reported that 4 servicemen were injured as a result of the missile strike on the Syrian territory. The IDF reported that the missile strike against Syria was a response to the launch of a surface-to-air missile that fell in the Negev Desert. 2 Syria The Syrian Foreign Ministry stated that Damascus condemns the resolution limiting the rights and privileges of Syria. The document was signed by the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons in Hague, on Wednesday. "The USA, the UK, and France used blackmail, threats and pressure to get the OPCW’s 25th Conference of the member-states to endorse this political decision against Damascus" - the ’SANA’ news agency quoted the statement. "The states that prepared and submitted the draft document are the same parties that supported, financed, and armed the terrorists in Syria" - the Syrian Foreign Ministry concluded. 3 Russia - The Czech Republic The political scandal between Moscow and Prague continues. The new head of the Czech Foreign Ministry demanded to return the diplomats, expelled from Moscow, by noon of Thursday. If Russia won’t comply with this ultimatum - Prague promised to expel several more Russian diplomats. The Russian ambassador to the Czech Republic received a protest due to the expulsion of 20 employees of the Czech embassy in Moscow. The Czech government excluded the ’Rosatom’ company from the tender for the construction of a nuclear power plant. The position of the Czech Republic was supported by the head of EU diplomacy, Josep Borrell. He promised that the EU will stop the subversive actions of the Russian special services. The official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, advised Josep Borrell to pay attention to the activities of the European special services, and not to blame Russia. She also suggested Prague to leave the ultimatums for the communication within the NATO. The Czech ambassador was called to the Russian Foreign Ministry. 4 The USA - Iran The USA have provided Iran with a number of examples of the sanctions that Washington is willing to lift in order to return to the compliance with the obligations of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action. The ’TASS’ news agency quoted a high-ranking representative of the US State Department. The sequence of the lifting of those sanctions, and the response steps by Iran, aren’t being discussed. It was noted that the USA made "some progress" in the negotiations on the Iranian nuclear deal in Vienna, but the negotiations are still far from being over, and the outcome is still unknown. 5 The USA - Afghanistan The US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken stated that the USA will provide Afghanistan with additional $300 millions of dollars in civilian aid during 2021. The funds will be given to promote an economic growth, to fight the drug trafficking and corruption, on the healthcare and education systems. Anthony Blinken stated that the USA will "use economic and civilian aid to promote a lasting peace." 6 The USA - Ukraine The US State Department’s spokesman Ned Price stated that the USA will continue to provide a military aid to Ukraine in order to defend it against the supposed Russian aggression. According to Ned Price, the USA will continue to provide the security aid that Ukraine needs in order to defend itself against the Russian aggression. The aid includes lethal defense systems.
