1 Syria The Russian General Staff stated that the USA continue to provide an aid to the Kurds in their illegal oil production in Syria. The Russian General Staff added that it is happening during the on-going conflict of the Kurdish ’Syrian democratic forces’ with the Arab tribes that oppose the plunder of the Syrian natural resources, and the forced drafting of Arabs into the Kurdish groups. 2 Syria The Permanent Russian Representative to the UN, Vasily Nebenzya, stated during a meeting of the UN Security Council that the solution of the humanitarian problems in Syria should be carried out with respect for the sovereignty of Syria, and without the cross-border aid mechanism that doesn’t take into account the opinion of Syria. Vasily Nebenzya added that the experience of closing the cross-border aid points earlier shows that the aid, distributed by Damascus itself, reaches the addressees much more effectively. 3 Kazakhstan - Syria The press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan reported that the 16th international meeting on Syria in the Astana format will be held in the city of Nur-Sultan, on 7th and 8th of July. The meeting will be attended by delegations of the guarantor countries - Iran, Russia and Turkey, the government of Syria, and the Syrian armed opposition. High representatives from the UN, Jordan, Lebanon and Iraq will attend as observers. The agenda will include the situation "on the ground" in Syria, international humanitarian aid to Syria, possible resumption of the work of the Syrian Constitutional Committee in Geneva, confidence-building measures, prisoner exchange, hostage release, and the search for the missing persons. 4 The USA - Ethiopia The US State Department spokesman Ned Price stated that the USA are calling for an independent investigation of the airstrike on a market in a village in the state of Tigray, north of Ethiopia. The USA called for an immediate ceasefire in Tigray, free access for the humanitarian aid, and protection for the civilians. The Associated Press reported that the air strike on 22nd of June killed about 80 people. The Reuters reported that a spokesman for the Ethiopian army did not confirm or deny that the federal forces attacked the village. It was noted that such air strikes are a common tactic in the fight against the terrorists, but such attacks aren’t directed against the civilians. The rebels from the "People’s Front for the Liberation of Tigray’’ launched an attack against the federal forces across the state, on Monday. 5 Uzbekistan - Afghanistan The Uzbek Foreign Ministry reported that on Wednesday, 53 servicemen of the Afghan border troops and fighters of the local militia crossed into the territory of Uzbekistan. "After carrying out the necessary procedures of inquiry and investigative actions, the aforementioned Afghan citizens were returned to their homeland" - the report stated. The Uzbek Foreign Ministry added that any attempts to illegally enter the Uzbek territory will be stopped. Most severe measures will be taken against the violators of the state border. 6 Russia - The UK The British Ambassador to Moscow, Deborah Bronnert, visited the Russian Foreign Ministry. The Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova stated that the ambassador was called over an incident with the British Navy destroyer ’Defender’ in the Black Sea. Maria Zakharova added that the ambassador will receive a serious note of protest regarding the event. The British Prime Minister Boris Johnson stated that the British warship was sailing in the international waters, in accordance with the international law.
