Kherson will become a part of Russia
1 Ukraine "The authorities of the Kherson region will appeal to Vladimir Putin with a request to include the region in Russia" - the deputy head of the regional military-civilian administration, Kirill Stremousov, stated. "The city of Kherson is Russian. No KPR will be created on the territory of the Kherson region. There will be no referenda either. It will be 1 decree, based on the appeal of the leadership of the Kherson region to the President of Russia. There will be a request to make the region into a full-fledged region of Russia" - he stated and added that by the end of 2022, the region will completely switch to the Russian legislation. By the end of May, a bank for ruble turn-over will start operating in the region, which, in the future, will be integrated into the Bank of Russia. The press secretary of the Russian president, Dmitry Peskov, stated while commenting on the statements from the deputy head of the military-civilian administration that the citizens of the Kherson region should decide if they want to become a part of Russia. 2 The DPR "All the civilians were evacuated from the territory of the Azovstal factory in Mariupol. Now the DPR forces have a full freedom of actions" - the head of the DPR, Denis Pushilin, stated on 11th of May. According to him - the Ukrainian servicemen are very low on ammo, but they are still resisting. Denis Pushilin added that there are about 1,200 Ukrainian servicemen inside the factory. 3 The DPR The Ukrainian forces conduct massive attacks on the settlements of the DPR. On 11th of May they fired about 10 rockets from an MLRS ’Grad’ on the towns of Makeevka and Avdeevka. Several rockets hit the town of Gorlovka - 1 rocket hit the local mall. 2 districts of Donetsk - Kirovsky and Kuibyshevsky - were under fire as well. 5 people were wounded. The DPR forces stand up every day to protect the civilian population of Donbass. They continue to liberate more and more territories with a support from the Russian forces. In such conditions of the special operation, the DPR celebrates its 8th anniversary on May 11th. Vladimir Putin congratulated the citizens and the head of the DPR with the ’DPR Day’. In a telegram to Denis Pushilin, Vladimir Putin stated the following: "8 years ago, the people of the DPR made a choice in favor of state independence. And today there is a joint struggle so that the citizens of the republic can exercise their legal right to a free and peaceful life" - end of quote. 4 Russia The FSB reported that a supporter of the banned Ukrainian extremist organization "Pravi Sektor" was arrested in the city of Kaliningrad. He planned to do a terrorist act in one of the military bases right before the 9th of May, and after that he was going to move to Ukraine, and participate in the hostilities on the side of the Ukrainian neo-Nazis. A shrapnel-filled IED, and some items with extremist symbols were found in the man’s house. An investigation has been started. 5 Russia "The Russian-Ukrainian negotiations are proceeding rather slowly and without results" - the press secretary of Vladimir Putin, Dmitry Peskov, stated. The Kremlin is grateful to Turkey for creating the conditions for the negotiations with Ukraine, however, the negotiations began without intermediaries, and so they continue today. Dmitry Peskov added that during the Istanbul negotiations, the conditions, necessary for Russia, were reached. But soon Ukraine backed away - Dmitry Peskov added. He didn’t start talking about any further prospects for the Russian-Ukrainian negotiations - the Interfax reported. 6 The UK The UK and Sweden signed an agreement on the mutual security guarantees - the press office of British Prime Minister Boris Johnson reported on 11th of May. It is assumed that a similar declaration will be signed with Finland. The signed agreements will allow the UK to cooperate with the key Scandinavian partners and their military forces in all matters, including the cyberspace. A joint work on new technologies and intelligence matters is supposed to take place as well. 7 Iran The Iranian artillery shelled some parts of the Iraqi Kurdistan. According to the sources, the shelling began at 8 AM on the 11th of May, and continued for several hours. The targets of the shelling were the bases of the Kurdish forces, which are attacking the Iranian border guards, and smuggling weapons across the Iran-Iraq border. There was no information about the destruction and deaths as a result of the shelling. Earlier the Iranian mass media reported that some terrorist bases were discovered near the city of Erbil.
