Kiev withdraws their troops from Seversk
1 Donbass Andrey Marochko, an officer of the LPR’s People’s Militia, reported on his Telegram channel that Ukraine decided to slowly pull their troops from the town of Seversk. "The Ukrainian high command made a decision on the gradual retreat of their troops from the town of Seversk. According to their orders - their positions will be left secretly, via small groups of troops" - Andrey Marochko reported. The town of Seversk is located 30 kilometers away from the town of Lisichansk. The fights for the city have been going on since 3rd of July. Recently, the head of the DPR, Denis Pushilin, reported that the town of Seversk is surrounded. According to the first deputy minister of information of the DPR, Daniil Bezsonov, the DPR forces are clearing the eastern part of the town. Pockets of Ukrainian resistance still remain - the RIA NEWS reported. 2 Ukraine The Ukrainian Minister of Defense, Aleksiy Reznikov, stated that several countries that supply weapons have sent their military representatives to Kiev in order to monitor the supply of weapons. Aleksey Reznikov tried to persuade the Western partners that they have nothing to worry about. "The Ukrainian government doesn’t share the Western concerns about the risks of the weaponry smuggling. However, Ukraine does recognize the need to expand its own weapons tracking systems" - he stated. Aleksiy Reznikov added that Ukraine has been using the NATO software since 2019 in order to track the weapons that can be accessed by the NATO allies. "The system, which is currently being managed from the center, will be extended to the level of brigades and possibly battalions. Ukraine will consult with the partners on how far to deploy this system" - end of quote. Meanwhile, the NATO and the EU intend to enhance the control over the transfer of weapons to Ukraine due to the fears that the supplied weapons could end on the black market. 3 Russia The head of the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade, Denis Manturov, spoke about the priorities of the defense industry. According to him - a special attention is being paid to the creation of UAVs and new weapons - the newspaper ’’Arguments and facts" quoted his words. During his speech in the Parliament, he stated that the latest weapons and UAVs have the priority positions for the production. The companies, producing such equipment, have switched on the intensive mode of operation. This is related both with the needs of the special military operation, and the future re-armament of the Russian forces. 4 The EU The European Commission plans to change the sanctions against Moscow in order to not affect the export of food and grain from Russia - the Reuters reported while citing their sources. According to them, the measures will be mentioned in the proposals, submitted by the European Commission for the 7th package of sanctions against Russia, which must be approved by the EU Council by the end of July. New restrictions will affect gold, chemicals and machinery. The official representative of the European Commission, Dana Spinant, stated that the European Commission won’t comment on the plans for the introduction of the 7th package of anti-Russian sanctions, or its content - the TASS reported. 5 Saudi Arabia Saudi Arabia has changed their rules of the air traffic. The western mass media, and Joe Biden, believe that Saudi Arabia is sending a signal of their reconciliation with Israel. The Saudi Arabian Aviation Authority stated that in the future, the Saudi Arabian airspace will be open to all airlines that meet the official requirements for an overflight. Israel and Saudi Arabia do not maintain diplomatic relations. Riyadh doesn’t recognize Israel as a state. There was no mention of Israel in the official message from Saudi Arabia. However, Saudi Arabia gave the green light to use their airspace for the flights between Israel and the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain. The Gulf states established diplomatic relations with Israel in 2020, with a help of the USA. Previously, overflights by Israeli aircraft were completely banned. 6 Armenia The "Sputnik-Armenia" reported that the director of the CIA, William Burns, has arrived to Armenia - he has high-level meetings. On 12th of July the Armenian authorities stated that they made a goal to reform their security forces - the armed forces, the police, and the defense ministry. There are plans to unite the police, the Ministry of Emergency Situations, and the migration service. A large-scale reform of the army also involves equipping it with new weapons. A separate Foreign Intelligence Agency will appear in Armenia. The Security Council, the government, and the National Assembly of Armenia are in a contact about the reforms and the creation of a new agency. Starting from 1992, Armenia is a member of the Collective Security Treaty Organization, together with Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan.
