01 Russia - Donbass The Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu reported to Vladimir Putin on the completion of the military operation and the complete liberation of the territory of the "Azovstal" factory and the city of Mariupol from the Ukrainian militants - the Russian defense ministry stated. The latest group of 531 Ukrainian militants surrendered on 20th of May - the RIA NEWS reported. 02 Donbass The acting commander of the Ukrainian 36th Marine Brigade, Sergei Volinsky - aka "Volina" - who recently surrendered from the Azovstal factory, stated that there were foreigners among the Ukrainian servicemen. The RIA NEWS has a footage of him after his surrender. "There are foreigners among the Ukraininian servicemen" - he admitted. Sergey Volynsky added that he has no information about any high-ranking officials and curators among those people. 03 Ukraine The Ukrainian servicemen from the 115th brigade, located in the town of Severodonetsk, published an appeal to Vladimir Zelensky, and to the Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Forces, Valery Zaluzhnii. The Ukrainian troops announced the termination of their combat missions. They explained it with the lack of the reinforcements and military equipment. They added that their own high command sends them to a certain death, and under such circumstances they refuse to carry out their service. This is the 2nd unit from the Ukrainian 115th brigade that has expressed its dissatisfaction with Zelensky. 04 Russia The press secretary of the President of Russia, Dmitry Peskov, spoke about the future of the territories, liberated in Ukraine. "All the actions have their reasons. The reason of any action in this regard can only be the expression of the will of the inhabitants of those regions" - Dmitry Peskov told to the reporters. He added that nothing can be done without the expression of the will of the inhabitants. Dmitry Peskov underlined that the Kremlin considers the solution of the social issues to be a priority in the liberated territories in Ukraine. According to Dmitry Peskov - there can be no delays in this matter. 05 Russia "The negotiations between the Russian and Ukrainian delegations are not on-going. Ukraine has left the negotiation process" - the Russian Deputy Foreign Minister, Andrei Rudenko, stated on 17th of May, during the 2nd Central Asia Conference of the ’Valdai’ International Discussion Club. He added that Kiev didn’t give a response to the draft treaty, proposed by Russia. Rudenko mentioned that the decision of the Foreign Ministers of the EU countries to allocate additional €500 millions of Euros to Ukraine, from the European Peace Fund, to buy weapons, will prolong the conflict. 06 Turkey Turkey has blocked the negotiations on Finland and Sweden regarding their joining of the NATO. Recently, the Bloomberg reported, while citing their sources, that Turkey is demanding the inclusion of Ankara into the F-35 program, and the lifting of the sanctions for the purchase of S-400s from Russia, in order for Finland and Sweden to be able to join the NATO. According to the Bloomberg - Turkey is demanding the Swedish and Finnish authorities to publicly denounce the "Kurdistan Workers’ Party" and other related parties.
