1 Russia - Armenia The Kremlin press service reported that on 7th of April the Russian President Vladimir Putin and the Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan will discuss the resolution of problems in Nagorno-Karabakh, as well as the integration processes. "On 7th of April Moscow will host negotiations between the Russian President Vladimir Putin and the Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan during his working visit to Russia. It is planned to evaluate the process of implementation of the statements from the leaders of Russia, Armenia and Azerbaijan on the Nagorno-Karabakh region from 9th November, 2020, and from 11th of January, 2021. They will also discuss the future steps to resolve the current problems in the region, including the restoration of the economic and transport links in the South Caucasus" - the statement concluded. 2 Russia - the USA The Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova stated that Russia will be forced to enhance the military response due to the emerging threats from the plans of the USA and their allies to create an arsenal of ground-based medium and short-range missiles. She added that Moscow doesn’t exclude the possibility of a dialogue. Maria Zakharova mentioned the statements of the Pentagon representatives on the practical steps for the early creation and deployment of medium and short-range ground-based missiles in various regions of the world. "The main task for missiles in Europe will be the destruction of the air defense systems, and making gaps in the defense lines in case of a conflict with Russia. The British military have joined the openly hostile and destabilizing statements, and actions, in this matter" - Maria Zakharova stated and added that such actions narrow the space needed to prevent a serious escalation. 3 Turkey The head of the Turkish Space Agency, Serdar Husein Yildirim, stated that Ankara could sign an agreement with Moscow on the cooperation in space. He noted that the goal of Turkey at the international level is to establish a strong partnership with the regional partners and neighbors. "As for Russia, we have great opportunities in many areas of the space activity. We assume that we can move forward much faster if we can build a strong partnership based on the mutually beneficial cooperation" - the TASS news agency quoted his words. 4 Ukraine The Ukrainian newspaper "Zerkalo Nedeli" reported while citing their sources that a 3-way conversation will take place on this week with the participation of the German Chancellor Angela Merkel, the French President Emmanuel Macron, and the Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky. It was reported that the main topic of the conversation will be the escalation of the situation in Donbass, and the coordination of the positions of the parties due to the escalation. The newspaper noted that the conversation between the leaders of the three countries will take place after a videoconference between Angela Merkel, Emmanuel Macron, and the Russian President Vladimir Putin, on 30th of March. 5 Nigeria At least 2,000 prisoners have escaped from the central prison in Owerri, in Nigeria - the local mass media reported. After the explosion, the storming of the building began, during which one policeman was killed. Additional troops were sent to the prison. There is an on-going search for the escaped prisoners. It was also reported that the central police station of the Imo State was attacked at the same time with the prison. 600 people, who were in the pre-trial detention, have escaped. 6 Vietnam The Vietnamese President Nguyen Xuan Phuc, took an oath of allegiance to the country, the ruling Communist Party of Vietnam, and the Vietnamese people. The ceremony took place after the announcement of the results of the voting, which was held by the deputies of the National Assembly of Vietnam. The Vietnamese parliament has elected the head of the organizational department of the Central Committee of the ruling Communist Party, Pham Minh Chin, as the country’s prime minister for the period 2021 to 2026.
