1 Myanmar The Myanmar military has declared a state of emergency for 1 year, as well as the transfer of power under their control - the ’Xinhua’ news agency reported with a reference to the country’s military television. In a statement on an army TV channel, the Myanmar military stated that the decision to declare a state of emergency in the country was taken by them due to the rigged parliamentary elections. As a result of the coup - all the state power in the country was taken by the commander-in-chief of the armed forces of Myanmar, Min Aung Hlain. The military arrested the President of Myanmar, Vin Myin, and the head of the ruling ’National League for Democracy’ political party, Aung San Suu Kyi, who is also a state adviser, and the country’s foreign minister. 2 Myanmar The Myanmar’s military announced their plans to hold elections and form a new government after the end of the state of emergency for a year. The state powers are planned to be transferred to a new cabinet. Currently, the military took control of various government departments, executive and legislative bodies, both in the capital and in the regions of Myanmar. 3 India In February, the Indian and American military will conduct the first large-scale exercises in the state of Rajasthan, on the border with Pakistan - ’the Times of India’ reported with a reference to their military sources. The purpose of the exercise is to practice the combat interaction of the servicemen of the two countries during counter-terrorist operations while using attack helicopters and IFVs. A battalion of tactical groups of Indian and American infantrymen, 250 servicemen in each, will take part in the training. The exercise will complement the regular ’Malabar’ naval exercise that involve Australia, India, the USA, and Japan. 4 Syria The Deputy Head of the Russian Center for the Reconciliation of the Warring Parties in Syria, Rear-Admiral Vyacheslav Sytnik, announced that the terrorists from the ’’Jabhat al-Nusra’’ group carried out 18 attacks in the Idlib DMZ, in Syria. “18 attacks from the terrorist group ’Jabhat al-Nusra’ took place in the Idlib DMZ.
