The border of Armenia and Azerbaijan
1 The USA - Afghanistan The Pentagon spokesman John Kirby stated that the USA will relocate the Afghans and their families who have been assisting the USA and the allies to safety, at the end of July. John Kirby didn’t say where those people will be relocated. He also refused to provide any information about their movement within Afghanistan. According to John Kirby - Washington wants all of those people to be able to safely leave the country. Last week, Joe Biden announced that in July the USA will start the air evacuation of those Afghans who helped the US forces. 2 Armenia - Azerbaijan The Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan stated that Armenia is ready to resume the process of the Nagorno-Karabakh settlement in accordance with the statement from the OSCE Minsk Group on 13th of April. He added that "Azerbaijan is trying to create an impression that Armenia is against the peace agreement". He reminded that "the basis of the Karabakh war are 3 principles, well-known to the parties: self-determination of peoples, exclusion of the use of force or a threat of force, and the territorial integrity". Pashinyan called on the CSTO members and the OSCE Minsk Group to pay attention to the casualties on the border with Azerbaijan. He stated that over the past 2 months, there have been 2 casualties in Armenia on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border. 3 Armenia - Azerbaijan The Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated that Azerbaijan is hindering the start of the process of demarcation and delimitation of the border with Armenia. He explained that ’’Azerbaijan is showing fake maps in order to justify the presence of their forces on the sovereign territory of Armenia". He stated the following - "The international community and Armenia have clearly stated their position on the issue. There should be a pulling of Azerbaijani troops from those territories, a mirror pulling of the Armenian and Azerbaijani troops from the border to their places of permanent deployment, and the deployment of Russian border guards, or international observers, at the border. And also - the start of demarcation and delimitation procedures, in accordance with the international standards". Nikol Pashinyan added that the working group, made of the deputy prime ministers of Russia, Azerbaijan and Armenia, isn’t discussing an opening of the Zangezur corridor. 4 Israel More than 30 activists of the radical Palestinian movement Hamas were detained by the Israeli forces during a raid north of the city of Ramallah, in the West Bank. According to the IDF press service - the detainees were in a cell of the Hamas terrorist organization at the Bir Zeit University, and some of the detainees were directly involved in terrorist activities, including organizing remittances, instigating, and organizing Hamas activities in the West Bank. It was noted that all detainees were handed over to the security forces for a further interrogation. 5 The USA - Haiti The US State Department spokesman Ned Price stated that Washington will send specialists from the US Department of Homeland Security to Haiti in order to enhance their security after the assassination of the President Jovenel Moise. It was reported that the US Department of Homeland Security will send "experts from the Transportation Security Administration, as well as from the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Agency to work with their counterparts in Haiti in order to improve the aviation and critical infrastructure security". 6 Cuba The Cuban president, Miguel Diaz-Canel, reported about many wounded among the supporters of the authorities who were injured in clashes with the protesters during the anti-government protests on Sunday. According to the president, the protesters "promote hatred" and "call for the lynching of the defenders of the Revolution". The Cuban President added that the coordinators of the anti-government protests in Cuba spread false information on the social media to incite violence.
