The Russian peacekeepers ensure the security in Nagorno-Karabakh
1 Nagorno-Karabakh The press service of the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry reported that the Azerbaijani forces entered the Lachin region, in Nagorno-Karabakh. "According to the agreement signed by the presidents of Azerbaijan, Russia, and by the prime minister of Armenia - on 1st of December the Azerbaijani troops entered the Lachin region" - the message stated. 2 Nagorno-Karabakh The Russian Defense Ministry reported that the Russian peacekeepers are securing the movement of civilians and their cars in the Lachin corridor, in Nagorno-Karabakh. "The peacekeepers ensure the safety of the civilian vehicles and the locals that move through the Lachin corridor, as well as the transportation of food and various goods. They escort and ensure the safety of the repair teams that are restoring the infrastructure" - the statement explained. The Russian Defense Ministry noted that since 14th of November, more than 26,000 refugees have returned to their homes. 3 Russia-Turkey The Turkish Ministry of National Defense reported that Moscow and Ankara signed an agreement on the establishment of a joint monitoring center for the ceasefire in Nagorno-Karabakh. "Negotiations were completed on the technical details for the foundations and principles of the Turkish-Russian joint center. The agreement was signed. The necessary work is underway to start the early functioning of the joint center" - the statement explained. The Turkish Defense Ministry didn’t report the details of the agreement. 4 Nagorno-Karabakh The Russian Ministry of Defense reported that the Russian peacekeepers carry out the demining of roads and the disposal of the found explosives in the Lachin corridor, in Nagorno-Karabakh. "During the peacekeeping operation in Nagorno-Karabakh, the combat engineers cleared more than 29 hectares of terrain, and about 10 kilometers of roads. They checked more than 100 houses and social facilities. About 1,000 explosive objects were found and destroyed" - the ministry stated and added that the found explosive devices and ammo are being taken to the specially prepared landfill, for destruction. The combat engineers detonate the explosive items that can’t be taken away. The Russian Defense Ministry also reported that the peacekeepers are ensuring the safety of the repair work on the power lines, gas pipelines, and the power grid. 5 Iran The ’Al Alam’ TV reported while citing their sources that the nuclear scientist Mohsen Fahrizadeh was killed via automatic small arms, which were controlled via a satellite. It was noted that the assassination was organized by the Israeli special services. On Monday, the secretary of the Iranian Supreme National Security Council, Ali Shamkhani, confirmed that the murder of the scientist took place with the use of electronic equipment, without the presence of the killers at the crime scene. The Iranian Information Minister, Mahmoud Alawi, stated that the Iranian intelligence services won’t release any information about the murder until the end of their investigation. The minister added that the Iranian intelligence services "have found a lot of evidence, and they are studying all the aspects of the event". 6 Israel - Lebanon The news website ’Al Nashra’ reported that on Monday the Israeli Air Force fighters entered the Lebanese airspace. The Israeli planes made several intensive scout flights over the Lebanese territory, and in border areas with Syria. The Israeli aircraft appeared several times at low altitude over Beirut and its southern areas, where the supporters of the Shiia organization ’Hezbollah’ live. The ’Hezbollah’ fights on the side of the government army in Syria. The Israeli UAVs were spotted over the Jebel al-Sheikh mountain range, over the Shebaa farms in the Golan Heights, over the settlements of Rashaya al-Wadi, Akrub, and Hasbaya.
