The ANNA NEWS are following the events. 3 Sudan - the USA - the UK The US and British governments condemned the military coup in Sudan, and expressed a "deep concern" about the situation in the country. According to a statement from the US State Department - the governments of the USA, the UK, and Norway have appealed to the Sudanese military to release the people that were "illegally detained" during the protests, as well as the former leadership of the country. At the end of the last week, the power in the country was taken by the military, led by the General Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, who declared a state of emergency in the country, supposedly needed to overcome the political crisis. He promised to hold general elections in July of 2023, and hand over the power to the elected civilian government. The leader of the coup promised to complete the democratic transformation of Sudan that began with the overthrow of General Omar al-Bashir, who ruled for three decades, back in 2019. The representatives of the previous administration, as well as ministries and the Central Bank, have declared a general strike. They called on the Sudanese people to protest the coup. After that there were clashes between the military and the protesters in Sudan. 4 Syria An IED exploded in front of a Russian military convoy in the Syrian province of Daraa - the deputy head of the Russian Center for the Reconciliation of the Warring Parties in Syria, Rear-Admiral Vadim Kulit, reported. The IED exploded in front of the lead vehicle. None of the servicemen were injured - the TASS noted. 5 Russia - China The Russian Parliament has ratified the protocol to extend the Russian-Chinese agreement on the notification of ballistic and space missile launches until 16th of December, 2030. The explanatory note to the document stated that it defines the obligations of the parties to notify each other about the upcoming and completed launches of ballistic and space missiles, the time frame for the provision of such notifications, and their validity period. As well as a list of the data, contained in the notifications - the RIA NEWS specified. 6 Russia The press secretary of the Russian president, Dmitry Peskov, stated that on 30th and 31st of October, Vladimir Putin will take part in the online G20 summit. "It’s Saturday and Sunday" - the Kremlin spokesman replied when asked when exactly the presidential events will take place at the summit. "But currently I can’t tell you about the time frame since there is a complex work on the synchronization" - he added. The G20 summit will take place in Rome, on October 30–31.
