1 Russia - Nagorno-Karabakh Negotiations took place in Moscow between the Russian President Vladimir Putin, the Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, and the Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan. The meeting was initiated by Vladimir Putin. He noted that the situation in Nagorno-Karabakh is stable. The Russian peacekeepers monitor the ceasefire and the road traffic safety. Vladimir Putin urged to plan the implementation of next steps for the settlement, outlined in the joint statement dated November 9, 2020. He proposed to discuss "the issues related to the activities of the Russian peacekeepers, clarification of the demarcation lines, solution of the humanitarian problems, and the protection of cultural heritage sites". Several Kyrgyz presidential candidates disagreed with the preliminary election results. The leader of the ’Butun Kyrgyzstan’ party, Adakhan Madumarov, stated that there was a fraud. The former head of the National Security Committee, Abdil Segizbayev, also announced his intention to challenge the election results. 5 India The ’Times of India’ reported with a reference to the Indian Ministry of Defense that at the end of January, India will send their military specialists to Russia for the training of combat use of the AA missile system S-400s. The first group will consist of 100 Indian servicemen. "In a few months the 2nd group of servicemen will go to Russia for the same training. The 1st regiment of S-400 air defense systems is planned to be adopted by the Indian forces at the end of 2021, or at the start of 2022. The contract with Russia on the supply of those AA systems will be completed by 2025" - the report concluded. 6 China The Director General of the World Health Organization, Tedros Adan Ghebreyesus, welcomed the decision of the Chinese authorities to send an international mission of experts to China in order to find out the origin of the new coronavirus. He made such statement on the WHO Twitter page. He added that he expects a close cooperation with the Chinese partners. The Chinese State Committee on Hygiene and Health announced that a delegation of the WHO experts will arrive in China on 14th of January in order to investigate the causes of the new type of coronavirus.
