Terrorists attack Syria
The Syrian air defenses repelled an Israeli missile attack. The SANA news agency reported that the attack targeted ground targets in the city of Al-Quseir, in the central province of Homs. The Syrian air defenses hit most of the air targets. No-one was killed by the missile attack. According to the Al-Hadath TV, the Israeli Air Force planes attacked the Shayrat military airfield in the Homs province. The missiles were fired from the Lebanese airspace. During the attack, several strong explosions took place at the airbase. The ’’Al-Hadath’’ TV reported that the ’’Jabhat al-Nusra’’ terrorist group attacked the Syrian positions in Idlib and Aleppo provinces. At least 5 Syrian servicemen, including an officer, were killed in the battle. The ’’Al-Hadath’’ TV noted that the terrorists have intensified their attacks since early July. The Syrian newspaper ’’Al-Watan’’ reported that recently, 11 extremist groups have formed an alliance under the banner of ’’Jabhat al-Nusra’’. They are attacking settlements that were recently liberated by the Syrian army, in order to disrupt the ceasefire in north-western Syria. The Syrian news agency SANA reported that US drones hit ground targets in north-east of Syria. A settlement in the Hasakah province, near the border with Iraq, was attacked. Residential buildings were hit, killing 3 civilians. The deputy head of the Russian Center for the Reconciliation of the Warring Parties in Syria, Rear Admiral Vadim Kulit, reported that the terrorists shelled the Syrian province of Hama, injuring 11 civilians. They attacked 4 settlements in total. The shelling came from an Idlib DMZ, 24 shells were fired. Additionally, pro-Turkish forces attacked the Abu-Zeidin humanitarian corridor and the checkpoint near the city of Al-Bab, in the Aleppo province. The Afghan TV channel ’TOLO’ News reported that 2-day talks between a delegation of Afghan politicians and representatives of the Taliban have ended in Doha. The delegation of Afghan politicians was led by the chairman of the Supreme Council for National Reconciliation of Afghanistan, Abdullah Abdullah. After the meeting, a joint statement was made in which the parties agreed to continue the high-level peace talks, to find a common ground in order to bring the country out of the current situation, and also protect the civilian infrastructure, prevent the civilian deaths, and work with organizations and countries that provide humanitarian aid to Afghanistan. At the same time, the ’TOLO News TV channel’ specified that the statement didn’t mention anything about a ceasefire, or a reduction of the level of violence in Afghanistan. The Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan proposed to Azerbaijan a mirror pulling of troops, and to place Russian border guards, or international observers, along the border. Nikol Pashinyan added that it will "create conditions for the start of the process of border demarcation and delimitation". According to him - the destructive policy of Azerbaijan prevents peace.
