Terrorists fired at the military in Syria
The ’’Al-Hadath’’ TV reported that the ’’Jabhat al-Nusra’’ terrorist group attacked the Syrian positions in Idlib and Aleppo provinces. At least 5 Syrian servicemen, including an officer, were killed in the battle. The ’’Al-Hadath’’ TV noted that the terrorists have intensified their attacks since early July. The Syrian newspaper ’’Al-Watan’’ reported that recently, 11 extremist groups have formed an alliance under the banner of ’’Jabhat al-Nusra’’. They are attacking settlements that were recently liberated by the Syrian army, in order to disrupt the ceasefire in north-western Syria. The deputy head of the Russian Center for the Reconciliation of the Warring Parties in Syria, Rear Admiral Vadim Kulit, reported that the terrorists shelled the Syrian province of Hama, injuring 11 civilians. They attacked 4 settlements in total. The shelling came from an Idlib DMZ, 24 shells were fired. Additionally, pro-Turkish forces attacked the Abu-Zeidin humanitarian corridor and the checkpoint near the city of Al-Bab, in the Aleppo province. Negotiations of the Russian President Vladimir Putin and the Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev took place in Moscow. The meeting lasted for about 2 hours. Ilham Aliyev stated that Azerbaijan wants to ensure that the period after the conflict over Nagorno-Karabakh is as painless as possible. He also expressed his gratitude to Putin for his attention to the situation in Karabakh, and "personal participation in the solving of very important issues." The ’’France Press’’ reported that the African command of the US Forces, in coordination with the Somali government, launched a single airstrike against the ’’Al-Shabab’’ terrorist group. It was noted that not a single civilian was injured as a result of the airstrike. The Pentagon stated that the final assessment of the operation is being complicated by the on-going fight between the Somali forces, and the terrorists of the "Al-Shabab". It was noted that the airstrike on Somalia was the first since the inauguration of Joe Biden.
