The Russian military police patrols the northern Syria
1 Russia - The USA - Syria The Russian Embassy to Washington has indicated to Colonel Wayne Marotto, a spokesman of the US-led international anti-terrorist coalition, that the US troops are in Syria illegally. It was noted that the presence of the US troops in Syria runs counter to the relevant UN Security Council resolution. Wayne Marotto stated on Twitter that the US troops in north-east of Syria have a "clear mandate" to be there "in accordance with the international law - the UNSCR 2254 - adopted in December of 2015." 2 Syria The Russian military police continue to patrol north of Syria in the Aleppo province. The purpose of the patrol is to demonstrate the presence of the Russian troops. It was noted that the patrolling prevents the terrorist groups from carrying out "various provocations" against the civilians. The Russian military is moving through key points in Aleppo while entering small settlements. The Syrian military also maintains order in Aleppo as well. 3 Syria The Syrian news agency SANA reported that the Syrian President Bashar al-Assad has approved the composition of the new Syrian government, headed by the prime minister Hussein Arnus. He signed a decree according to which the Deputy Prime Minister and the Defense Minister, Ali Abdullah Ayyub, the head of the Syrian Foreign Ministry and Ministry for Emigrants, Faisal Mikdad, and the head of the Ministry of Finances, Kenan Yagi, keep their posts. 4 Afghanistan The Afghan Defense Ministry reported on Twitter that over the past day, the Afghan forces killed 361 Taliban terrorists in several provinces of the country, and wounded 145 Taliban terrorists. The US State Department stated that "within 3 days, the representatives of the countries of the region and other states, as well as multinational organizations, will insist on a reduction of the level of violence and on a ceasefire, and on a commitment to not recognize a government that will be imposed by force".
