The US sends troops to Europe
1 The USA - Europe The USA started sending more troops to Europe - the CBS reported. The first American military transport aircraft C-17s with 2,000 servicemen took off from the Fort Bragg, in North Carolina. Most of the servicemen will be placed in Poland, some will stay in Germany for a while. The deployed troops are an addition to those troops who will take part in the training in March. 2 Syria Several Russian landing ships from the Northern and Baltic Fleets have arrived at the Russian Navy’s logistics center in Syria - the Russian Defense Ministry reported. The 6 large landing craft have completed their journey around Europe and have arrived in the eastern Mediterranean sea for the training, organized by the Russian Navy. The ministry specified that the warships are currently in the port of Tartus. 3 Donbass The YouTube has blocked the official channels of the DPR and the LPR - the "Donbass Today" news website reported. The YouTube has also blocked some Ukrainian channels known for their critical attitude towards the current regime in Ukraine. These actions look like a try to silence the voice of objectivity about the war in Donbass in the informational space. 4 Ukraine The Ukrainian Foreign Minister, Dmitry Kuleba, stated on air of the "One Plus One" TV that at the meetings of all levels, Ukraine rejects the possibility of conducting a direct dialogue with the republics of Donbass, despite the fact that the Minsk agreements demand such action. He added that in the course of meetings and negotiations with the Western partners, no-one puts any pressure on Ukraine, or tells how to implement the Minsk agreements. “There were cases when they tried to impose something upon us. Now no-one is forcing us to implement the Minsk agreements on the Russian terms” - Kuleba stated. 5 Slovakia - the USA Slovakia and the USA signed a Defense Cooperation Agreement. The Defense Minister Yaroslav Nagy had to go to Washington to sigh the agreement, according to which the US forces will be able to use the Slovak military facilities and installations. Slovakia must provide them without a rent. The agreement will be valid for 10 years. It will then remain in effect, or may be terminated with 1 year notice. The agreement has yet to be approved by the National Council of Slovakia. A presidential ratification is also required, but the current liberal President Zuzana Chaputova has already welcomed the agreement. 6 China Negotiations between the Chinese Prime Minister Xi Jinping and the Russian President Vladimir Putin began in Beijing. On the morning of 4th of February Vladimir Putin has arrived to China in order to take part in the opening ceremony of the 24th Winter Olympic Games. The leaders of Russia and China plan to discuss the issues of international security, and the difficult situation in the negotiation process between Russia and the USA and the NATO.
