Terrorists attacked the Syrian army
1 Syria The deputy head of the Russian Center for the Reconciliation of the Warring Parties in Syria, Rear Admiral Vadim Kulit, stated that the terrorist groups, operating in the Turkish-controlled part of Syria, attacked Syrian forces on the contact line in the Idlib DMZ. The attack was carried out by a UAV that dropped an IED. As a result of the explosion, 5 Syrian servicemen were injured. 2 Syria The Syrian news agency SANA reported that the US military took to Iraq 25 tankers with stolen Syrian oil from Hasakah province, north-east of Syria. The convoy passed through the Al-waleed checkpoint. Earlier, the high command of the Lebanese army reported in a communique that the Israeli troops fired 92 shells per day at south of Lebanon. 4 Afghanistan The Ministry of Defense of Afghanistan reported that over the past day, the Afghan forces killed 303 Taliban terrorists, and wounded 119. The Afghan forces conducted operations in several provinces of the country. It was reported that on 4th of August, the cleansing of the city of Lashkar-gah from the Taliban have began. The fighting for the city has been going on for several days. 5 Russia Joint military exercises of Russia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan started near the border with Afghanistan. The exercises will last until 10th of August. 2,500 servicemen will take part in the training, 1,800 of them are from Russia, plus about 500 pieces of Russian military equipment. Earlier, the Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu stated that the countries will work out practical actions aimed to destroy bandits, conduct aerial scouting, and protection of facilities. 6 India ’The Times of India’ reported that 1 person was killed, 11 were injured during a bus explosion in the Indian state of Chhattisgarh. The local police stated that the Maoist terrorists were behind the attack. An IED was used against the bus. ’The Hindustan Times’ reported that the terrorists performed the attack after mistaking the bus with civilians for a police patrol.
